The Role of Exercise In Beating Infertility

When you exercise, do it moderately and mildly, not too strenuous or obsessively. Intense exercise can negatively impact infertility and make you a higher risk for miscarriage. Light exercise is the goal. Nothing too strenuous or intense at this time. Avoid over-exercise.

Some doctors of Chinese medicine believe that activities like mountain biking, aerobics, jogging and weight-lifting are ‘yang’ activities that force the body to expend too much energy, and steal much-needed power from the reproductive organs.

Light exercises, such as gentle swimming and walking, on the other hand, are considered ideal because they do not take energy away from the body’s reproductive organs.
